The Optician will recommend specific eyewear, take measurements, fit and adjust glasses, and teach customers to properly wear and care for their glasses or contact lenses. To be successful as an Optician, you should have strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills. You should be able to recommend specialized eyewear such as for sports and occupational use, as well as informing on and recommending tints and anti-reflective coatings. Additionally, being knowledgeable about insurance and tech-savvy is preferred.
Now Hiring: Optometric Technician/Assistant
Our Optometric Technicians work closely with our doctors to provide the most comprehensive eye care and highest level of patient care. They perform a wide variety of duties including pre-testing procedures, maintaining patients medical health records, performing specialized testing, giving chair side assistance to the doctors, ordering contact lenses and corresponding with outside providers.
To be successful, you should have strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills and comfortable with data-entry. Additionally, being knowledgeable about insurance and tech-savvy is preferred.
