RED EYE/CONJUNCTIVITIS

Instead of going to your primary care giver or urgent care for a red eye-type condition or other eye problem, we recommend you go to your optometrist at Bass Lake Family Eye Care first. Our doctors will be able to determine exactly what kind of condition or infection is causing your symptoms, and therefore they will be able to prescribe the best kind of medication for your particular kind of red eye. We especially recommend that any contact lens wearers come to our office for any contact lens associated red eye or irritation. Often non-eye care professionals will prescribe a blanket antibiotic, which often takes longer to clear up the eye condition or can lead to recurrence of the condition. Our doctors will be able to treat the problem quickly with less chance of the condition or infection coming back.
