COMPREHENSIVE EYE EXAMS
Comprehensive eye exams at Bass Lake Family Eye Care screen for all common ocular health problems, as well as testing vision to determine prescription for glasses or contacts. We perform eye exams on patients as young as three years old to establish good visual acuity and focus as early as possible. A comprehensive eye exam at our office includes either dilation by drops or high resolution digital images to check retinal health.

FOCUSING ABILITY
An eye exam will check to make sure both eyes are working together and will evaluate the need for corrective lenses or vision therapy to correct a focusing problem.

The doctors at Bass Lake Family Eye Care can evaluate if there is a need for vision therapy in young children.
GLAUCOMA
Glaucoma is an eye disease in which increased pressure in the eye leads to optic nerve damage. Glaucoma may cause vision loss if left untreated.
CATARACTS
Cataracts are cloudy areas within the ocular lens, which may lead to decreased vision. Most cataracts are age-related and develop later in life.
MACULAR DEGENERATION
Macular degeneration is usually age-related and results in the deterioration of cells in the macula, which is responsible for central vision.
